With a focal length of 9-18mm (equivalent to 18-36mm in 35mm format), a minimum focusing distance of 25cm across the entire range, and a maximum magnification of 0.11x at the wide end and 0.2x at the telephoto end in 35mm format, this lens helps you easily expand your photographic expression in nature scenes. For example, the wide angle of view of the ultra wide-angle zoom lens offers a wide range of variations, such as vast natural scenery, flowers and trees with a wide sky in the composition from a low angle, and wide macro images with a sense of perspective or peripheral information by getting close to the subject. The wide angle of view is also suitable for shooting video of natural scenery.

The front-most DSA (large-polarized double-sided aspheric) lens provides a 100 angle of view, and the rear-most double-sided aspheric lens removes aberrations in one stroke, resulting in high image quality and a compact, lightweight design. The lens configuration also allows the camera to be used with the OM-5 mirrorless SLR camera as a lightweight system weighing only 568g. In addition, a retractable body mechanism was adopted to keep the ultra-wide-angle lens, which tends to be large in general, within an easily usable size, and when stored, it can be carried in a more compact 49.3 mm in length.
